Over the summer, 2025 guard Darius Acuff’s stock skyrocketed, causing other elite programs to take note and intensify their pursuit of him. He recapped his October visit to Kentucky with On3’s Joe Tipton, and Kentucky is one of the colleges actively pursuing him.
During his visit, he told Tipton that Kentucky was like a “family” and that he was particularly interested in the state’s guardsmen’s past.
There were many people there, including Coach Cal, Coach Chin, Coach Chuck, and the entire staff, and they were all showing me love. He told On3’s Joe Tipton, “It was good. It was a family.” “If you think about it, the best players come from there. Everyone has seen that picture of them guards that came from there and that is legendary. That tells you everything about Kentucky right there.”
