“Just In:Four-Star ATH Anthony White Pledge his Commitment to Texas Tech over Mississippi State….
Anthony White, an Abernathy athlete, is the most recent addition to the Texas Tech coaches’ roster of gifted players for the 2023 class.Texas Tech and a number of other universities, including Vanderbilt, UTSA, Mississippi State, and Texas, have long targeted White.
At the end of the day White elected to stay home and chose a preferred walk-on place at Texas Tech over a total of 12 scholarship possibilities.“The coaching staff and my bond with them during my entire recruitment process, I would say.It is a nice setting, family is here, and it is very close to home.”
The coaching staff and my relationship with them during my entire recruitment process, I would say.It is a nice setting, family is here, and it is very close to home.”Head coach Joey McGuire, secondary coach Marcel Yates, and director of player personnel James Blanchard spearheaded White’s recruiting at Texas Tech.
“They have been perceiving me as a Red Raider player and fan. These three connections are unquestionably the best I have ever had, and they are the main factor in my decision to attend Texas Tech. They were thrilled that I had chosen Texas Tech.“Let us go!” and “Let us get that knee right and let us put on a show” were their first words.
Unfortunately, White was unable to play his senior season in February 2022 due to a significant knee injury.White reports that his rehabilitation is proceeding well, months after his injury.
“Everything has gone well.I have been attempting to return to my normal self while in rehab.By track season, I want to be fully recovered.
Though he can play either side of the ball, the 6-foot, 180-pound playmaker is most likely destined to play in the secondary.“I have been doing well as a wide receiver and safety, so I would really love to play both positions, but if I have to choose, defense is the best option.I simply adore playing defense.Without a doubt, defense will win championships.
