Breaking:Four-star linebacker Wesley Bissainthe commits to Miami Hurricanes
Four-star linebacker Wesley Bissainthe verbally committed, making him the ninth candidate in Miami’s 2022 football recruiting class, according to head coach Manny Diaz.
“I can take care of my family and that is the finest position for me,” Bissainthe stated.
According to 247Sports Composite, Bissainthe, a native of South Florida who is presently enrolled at Miami Central High School, is the 20th best linebacker in the nation and the 196th rated prospect.
“I get to build my brand and put on for the crib because a lot of my family is here,” Bissainthe stated.
Among other colleges vying for the All-American and talented defensive prospect, the Hurricanes defeated Florida State, Florida, West Virginia, and Penn State.
With Bissainthe, Miami’s 2022 recruiting class rises to 10th in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and 56th nationwide.As the sixth defensive recruit in the Hurricanes’ 2022 class, the four-star linebacker will join linebacker Justin Medlock, safety Markeith Williams, athlete Chris Graves, and cornerback Khamauri Rogers.
At six feet one inch and 205 pounds, Bissainthe looks to be a versatile linebacking prospect who can keep up with tight ends and receivers on passing downs, blitz the quarterback, and fill gaps as a run defender.
