Breaking:Michigan football nabs three-star Georgia LB Chase Taylor as 4th 2025 commit in 2 days
Michigan football has signed two recruits in a single day for the second time in as many days.Three-star 2025 linebacker Chase Taylor, a major target from their “Victors Weekend,” promised to position coach Brian Jean-Mary and crew on Monday afternoon, which was excellent news for the Wolverines.
Taylor, a native of Stockbridge, Georgia, made his announcement a day after the Wolverines received two commitments from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida (three-star offensive lineman Kaden Strayhorn, the son of former Michigan State standout Jason Strayhorn, and four-star running back Donovan Johnson), and hours after U-M received a commitment from four-star wide receiver Jacob Washington, of Louisiana.
Taylor, who is 6′ 3″ and 201 pounds, chose to play for the Wolverines over other schools including Georgia Tech, Clemson, Tennessee, and USC.According to 247 Sports’ composite rankings, the three-star prospect is ranked No. 583 overall and No. 61 among linebackers in the class of 2025
Taylor, the class’s first linebacker commit, joins a room that has lost a number of reserves through the transfer portal, including Hayden Moore, Jeremiah Beasley, and Semaj Bridgeman, as well as last year’s starters, Michael Barrett and Junior Colson.
Michigan now has 12 players in its 2025 class, which is currently ranked No. 15 in the country, after adding the two most recent additions. In the 18-team Big Ten, the Wolverines’ class is ranked fifth by 247 Sports, behind Wisconsin (ranked 13), Ohio State (ranked 1), Rutgers (ranked 10 but with 28 total commitments), and Penn State (ranked 11).
