Officiall Announcement:Michigan LB Ernest Hausmann announces return to the Wolverines for 2025
TAMPA, FL — The 2025 season will mark Ernest Hausmann’s return to Michigan football. Ahead of the ReliaQuest Bowl practice, the linebacker told the Michigan Insider, “I will be coming back to Michigan,” when asked about his plans for the upcoming season.
“You consider all the many judgments you have to make, and obviously it is a new era of college football,” Hausmann continued, explaining his choice. Therefore, the things that each person looks at are different. In the end, it came down to me wanting to stay at Michigan for another year.”
Hausmann transferred from Nebraska and will be starting his third season with the Wolverines. In 2024, he was named to the All-Big Ten (honorable mention, coaches and media) after recording 82 tackles, including two sacks, and an interception.
He might play alongside Jaishawn Barham, who made his debut for the Wolverines in 2024, in a seasoned linebacker combo next year. (This offseason, Barham is thinking about moving to defensive end.) Cole Sullivan, Jaydon Hood, Jimmy Rolder, and more players at
