Howard finished 12-5 as a starter for the Wildcats, helping them advance to the Pop-Tarts Bowl this past season and defeat TCU in the 2022 Big 12 title game. He has one season left of eligibility.
He will take the position of Kyle McCord, who started the majority of the season for the Buckeyes but is transferring to Syracuse. He has started 27 games and thrown for 5,786 yards and 48 touchdowns in his career. Before selecting Ohio State, Howard reportedly contemplated Miami and USC in addition to declaring for the NFL draft.
