Numerous young, talented athletes in the WNBA are starting their own shoe brands. Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky is one of the most dynamic players in the league. The 22-year-old can now wear signature basketball sneakers like other athletes.
A multi-year partnership renewal between Reebok and Reese was disclosed on Thursday, with a 2026 signature sneaker release scheduled. Reese is only the second WNBA athlete to acquire a signature shoe from the company as a result of this agreement.
“I can not wait to share with you all the news that we will soon be releasing a Reebok by Angel signature shoe!” Reese stated.
Reebok collaborated with Reese prior to her final season with the LSU Tigers in the fall of 2023, before she became a fashion sensation and WNBA All-Star. She was the first major NIL signing ever made by the company and the first under Shaquille O’Neal, the recently appointed president of Reebok
Inspired by her unabashed demeanor, adaptable style, and explosive energy, the brand unveiled Reebok by Angel, Reese’s first joint footwear and clothing collection, in August 2024, over a year later.
Against the Indiana Fever and Caitlin Clark later that month, Reese also unveiled the “Reebok Engine A,” the company’s first new performance basketball footwear since the early 2010s. The spring of 2025 is when the performance basketball shoe is expected to be released.
