“Pushing” Alpine to keep Mick Schumacher in the WEC….
Alpine claims that it is making every effort to keep Mick Schumacher in the World Endurance Championship lineup for the upcoming season.
After spending the 2023 season on the sidelines following his dismissal from Formula 1 by Haas, Schumacher joins Alpine at the beginning of their new LMDh program this year to race the #36 Alpine A424 LMDh alongside Nicolas Lapierre and Matthieu Vaxiviere in the WEC.
However, the German driver has stated repeatedly that returning to the grand prix grid in 2025 is his first objective and that he still has dreams of competing in Formula One.
Signatech Alpine team principal Philippe Sinault has responded to rumors over the 25-year-old’s future by stating that the French company is actively negotiating with him to persuade him to return to the team for another season.
He said to Autosport, when asked if he was certain he would keep Schumacher for another season, “It is tough to say.” I am hoping he stays.
We press him and let him know right away that staying with us is really important to us.

But I have no control over anything. Formula 1 remains Formula 1.
“Once more, we must wait. I am hoping for some news on it in the near future.
