Alexander Zevverev declares retirement, stating that he can no longer work, and he establishes a deadline for his departure…..
Ready to make a big impact in the Stuttgart Mercedes Cup is Alexander Zverev. The world No. 5 remarked to the media on Monday, “Physically, I feel fairly well. Over the past few weeks, I have consistently become better at what I do. That’s why I concluded it’s a good idea for me to keep playing.
I usually find it mentally enjoyable to stay in Germany.” On Thursday, Zverev will take on Dustin Brown or John Millman in his debut game. Due to Sascha’s commitment to Halle, six-time Major winner Boris Becker believes that Zverev did not make the best decision by playing every week.
“These competitions hold great significance,” he went on. “I always adore playing in two events in Germany, which is really, really important to me personally. Stuttgart, I have not been here in a few years, so I am really motivated to do well and, of course, have fun while I am here.
Another tournament I have always loved is Halle. In my opinion, it goes without saying that you should play your best tennis in the Wimbledon final. But you also need to play really well beforehand to accomplish it. I hope I round out the clay-court season in the same manner that I did with the grass-court one.
I really hope that I can maintain my strong form as I performed well in a couple of tournaments in Geneva and Paris. I am hoping for a successful grass-court season. It goes without saying that I always enjoy performing in Stuttgart for my home audience.
I am excited for this competition to take place. When asked when he might take the top spot in the global rankings, Zverev responded, “At the end of this year, if I win all the matches I play,” with a giggle.
