In a chaotic custody dispute, Alexander Zverev’s ex gives birth…
The German tennis player Alexander Zverev’s child was born to his ex-girlfriend.
Brenda Patea, a German model, posted a picture of her newborn daughter on social media and declared herself “fortunate.”
Before splitting up last year, Patea and Zverev dated for less than a year, with the World No. 7 promising the couple could successfully co-parent.
“We were fortunate to welcome Mayla into our lives on March 11. #blessed #truelove #miracle,” Patea captioned a picture of herself and her priceless child on Instagram.
Zverev is in Acapulco right now getting ready for the Mexico Open, which starts on Monday.
After that, starting later in March, he is scheduled to fly to the United States for the Miami Open.
The model hit out at the tennis player over remarks he made about her and the child last year, making Zverev’s split with Patea anything but cordial.
The 23-year-old tennis player claimed “everything’s fantastic on the court and off the court” and expressed excitement about becoming a father to reporters.
“Even though Brenda and I are no longer together, we have a solid connection, and I will live up to my obligation as a father,” he added in a statement. We shall look after the small person who is set to grow together.
After receiving a barrage of inquiries on Zverev’s remarks, Patea declared she was “fed up” and informed fans in February that she did not want him to be involved in the birth of her child.
