Even though Lilibet and Archie were given the titles of Princess and Prince, respectively, what is the one thing they lack? an invitation to the May coronation ceremony of their grandpa, King Charles.
After months of rumors regarding whether or not they would be invited, as we previously reported, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were ultimately asked to attend the coronation via email. At the time, a representative for the couple stated:
Prince George, age 9, and Princess Charlotte, age 7, are the children of Prince William and Princess Catherine, often known as Kate Middleton, and are anticipated to attend. Prince George, the eldest child, will play a significant role in the celebration. The pair is allegedly still “pondering” whether to include their youngest son, Prince Louis, who turns five years old next month. In addition, the article claimed that Queen Consort Camilla’s five grandchildren will be officially involved in the coronation in addition to being there for the momentous occasion.
The publication did point out that if Meghan and Harry choose to accept the invitation, it is thought that the royal family is open to talking about the two kids attending the coronation. The 41-year-old former actress and the 38-year-old prince have not yet made an official announcement. However, King Charles is said to have arrangements in place to ensure that there is no unpleasant tension between the rival family members if they do attend the festivities:
