2018 NBA All-Star Game: Joel Embiid Argues In Support Of Wilt…
NBA All-Star Weekend provides a great chance for players from across the league to get together, socialize, and entertain the crowd. It also allows players who don’t regularly get an opportunity to socialize, a chance for interesting talks. This was the situation with Al Horford and Joel Embiid, two large men.
The two international big men, who were both on Team Stephen for this year’s All-Star Game, engaged in a fascinating discussion on who might be the greatest player of all time. During the game, the always entertaining Embiid was miked up, making the chat visible.
When Michael Jordan was ceremoniously given a basketball for the 2019 NBA All-Star Game, which the Charlotte Hornets will host, Embiid asked Horford if he thought Jordan was the greatest player of all time. That same night, Jordan was met with thunderous acclaim.
According to the official NBA website, Horford suggested he did, which caused Embiid to vigorously defend former Los Angeles Lakers center Wilt Chamberlain. Bill Russell and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar were also cited.
It should be recalled that Embiid agreed to speak with Horford after he brought up Kareem initially. Each of the three players has a strong argument for being the best player of all time.
Chamberlain achieved the most absurd results ever. A few of his season averages would qualify as exceptional games in the modern era. Of all, as Embiid pointed out, nobody can equal Russell’s 11 titles when it comes to winning.
