Oct. 27, Los Angeles, Calif. (UPI) — With the upcoming television series Absentia, Stana Katic will make a comeback.
The 38-year-old actress retweeted the announcement of her casting on Wednesday, confirming that she is in talks to star in the AXN crime drama.
According to Deadline, Katic is nearing the end of the show is discussions. Production on the first ten episodes of AXN, a Sony Pictures Television channel, is set to commence in early 2017.
The show is director, Oded Ruskin (False Flag), will work with writer and executive producer Matt Cirulnick, creator of South Beach. Together with Masha Productions’ Maria Feldman, Ruskin will produce the drama.

The role that Katic is most known for on Castle is Kate Beckett, which was unexpectedly canceled in May after it was revealed the actress will leave after Season 8. The New York Post was informed last month by her co-star Nathan Fillion that the show is ending was not as “wonderful” as he had wanted.
