As the offseason progresses, Clemson’s class of 2025 defensive core becomes more adaptable, giving their supporters more speed and athleticism. Logan Anderson, the class’s first linebacker commit, was signed by the Tigers this past Friday afternoon.

Anderson can bring speed and versatility to that side of the ball, so the Tigers are getting a great deal by adding him to this Clemson defense for years to come. After switching from safety to linebacker, he recorded a 4.5 40-yard dash, a 35.9-inch vertical, and a broad leap of at least 10 feet.

While seeing his team go on a run and win a state championship, Anderson was sidelined by a season-ending knee injury in the playoffs, despite having ran for over 1,800 yards out of the backfield as a sophomore.

He recovered more forcefully the next year, leading Fyffe High School to a 14-1 record and its second straight Alabama 2A state championship. He ran for 312 yards and eight touchdowns on 28 carries in the third round and set a championship game record with 256 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 34 carries, demonstrating his dominating efforts throughout the playoffs. In addition, he recorded six defensive tackles during the state championship.

With 265 carries, 2,864 rushing yards (a school record), and 46 touchdowns at the end of his junior year, he was named an ASWA All-State running back. At the inside linebacker position, he is still a man among boys while being a powerful force on the ground. In addition to having the speed and size to contribute to this Clemson defense, Anderson can lift 460 pounds, bench 305 pounds, and clean 350 pounds.
