“Shocking Twist: Four-Star SF KeShawn Murphy Chooses Auburn Over SEC Powerhouse in Stunning Commitment! You Won’t Believe Why!”
Mississippi State transfer forward KeShawn Murphy committed to Auburn, according On3’s Joe Tipton. He led the Bulldogs in rebounds and blocks per game before entering the transfer portal.
After three years in Starkville, Murphy made significant progress in the 2024–25 campaign. He led Mississippi State with 7.4 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game, and he averaged 11.7 points. He had a 56.6% field goal percentage as well.
Murphy did not start in 21 games as a sophomore in 2024 and only averaged 4.7 points per game. He then joined the transfer portal with one year of eligibility left after taking on a bigger role off the bench at Mississippi State as a junior.
KeShawn Murphy played high school basketball at Birmingham (Ala.) Ramsay before making his way to Mississippi State. Now, he’s moving to Auburn to join a program fresh off a Final Four appearance.
