No. 1 Player in America Commits to Auburn Tiger’s Football, Over Ole Miss, N.C. State, and Georgia……

Four-star SG Auburn recruits Kaden Magwood, North Carolina’s number two basketball player.

Auburn basketball has signed 6-foot-1, 165-pound shooting guard Kaden Magwood from Louisville (Kent.) Combine Academy. He is the second member of the 2025 class to sign, after Simon Walker.

According to the On3 Industry Ranking, Magwood is the second-best player in the state of North Carolina, the 62nd-ranked player overall in the class of 2025, and the 15th best shooting guard.

Magwood took official visits to Auburn, Ole Miss, N.C. State, Georgia Tech, Memphis, Mississippi State, Wake Forest, USC and Kansas before narrowing his list to Auburn, N.C. State and Ole Miss. He committed to Auburn Nov. 12 and signed shortly after.

He remarked, “Bruce Pearl is tremendously involved with his guys.” “I truly enjoy that and I really want a coach that does that.” A little over six weeks after making an official visit to Auburn, Magwood announced his commitment to the university. In late September, he visited the Tigers’ campus, which clearly had a significant impact on him.

“The coaching staff was real good there,” he told On3. “Everyone communicated really well with me throughout the visit. I liked that. They said I’m a scoring point guard, so I feel like I could come in and be a Sharife Cooper-type of guard, or whoever they have had there.

“I was there for a football game, I mean, they lost that game, but the atmosphere was great. There were many individuals present and a wonderful atmosphere because they were up at halftime. I thought it was great.

He also watched Auburn’s basketball team practice. “It was really good,” he said. “You get to see how they progress every day. (Friday) they had a little light practice with mostly half-court (work). Those concepts translated to when they scrimmaged a lot full court. It was really good watching them practice.”

During the week-long early signing period, which starts on Wednesday, Nov. 13, Magwood intends to sign with Auburn. He joins Simon Walker, a three-star shooting guard, as the second commitment in the Tigers’ 2025 class.

Sebastian Williams-Adams, a four-star power forward who is expected to make his decision on Sunday, November 17, is another player Auburn is vying for. Purdue, Vanderbilt, Auburn, and Oklahoma State are the finalists for Williams-Adams. With 64%, Auburn is now
