Ben Johnson, the former offensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions, has reached a deal to take over as head coach of the Chicago Bears for the upcoming season. Johnson helped Jared Goff become one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks, and he will now attempt to do the same with Caleb Williams.
With an agreement valued at an estimated $20.7 million AUD each season, the team confirmed the news in a statement on Wednesday (AEDT).
“I am honored to be their head coach, and I can attest to how passionate Bears fans are about this city and their club, having been on the other bench,” Johnson said.
