Ty Haywood Decommits from Alabama, Chooses Mchigan:An In-depth Look at His Decision…..
During their winter tour of Texas, Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore and offensive line coach Grant Newsome extended an offer to Haywood. Although Haywood initially showed interest, he never visited the campus and this July committed to Alabama.
However, Michigan is making a late NIL push for Haywood and has his attention. Here is what Holland had to say about this recruitment.
According to Holland, “Haywood was pretty solid to Alabama early in the fall.” He was a fan of Alabama and was raised in Mississippi. His mom also supports Alabama. He is not anticipated to join with the Tide, though. Here, Michigan is running late. For Bryce Underwood, the Wolverines negotiated a big deal, and they hope to do the same for Haywood.
There is, in my opinion, some hope that the Wolverines can unseat Alabama for Haywood given Michigan’s new strategy about NIL. Another one to keep
At 6-foot-5, 297 pounds, Haywood is ranked as the No. 5 offensive tackle and No. 22 overall prospect nationally, per the On3 Industry Ranking. He is also ranked as the No. 7 overall recruit in the state of Texas this cycle.
The class is ranked No. 9 nationally and No. 3 in the Big Ten, per the On3 Industry national team recruiting rankings. The Wolverines currently sit behind Ohio State and Oregon.
