Agot Makeer reveals why she turned down Tennessee and committed to South Carolina Basketball….
Five-star Canadian combo guard Agot Makeer, a student at Florida’s Montverde Academy, has now reduced her list of potential universities to three. These universities are South Carolina, UConn, and Michigan State.
Many fans were discussing about the Canadian’s “Final 3″ decision after she was ranked No. 4 overall by On3, especially those who wanted her to commit to their preferred school, notably South Carolina.
Makeer, who is originally from Thunder Bay, Ontario, had listed Duke, North Carolina, and Kentucky as “Final 6″ universities.
Makeer stated she had developed a “very decent” relationship with Dawn Staley of South Carolina and that UConn had always been her ideal school as a child. She has commended Michigan State’s top-notch facilities and head coach Robyn Fralick.
“Genuine relationships are big for me,” she explained to On3. “My top six schools are those because I have genuine relationships with the coaching staff and they’ve taken time to build relationships with my family as well … All six schools, I could go and make an impact.”
Wait a f*****g minute… are my Michigan State lady Spartans like that now? Is this our time ?!” one Michigan State supporter asked.
