New Deal: The Boozer twins declare their commitment to Duke Blue basketball and give their reasons for Committing…..
Former NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer’s twin boys, Cameron and Cayden Boozer, will play basketball for Duke like their father did.
In a video shared on social media by The Players’ Tribune on Friday morning, the Boozer twins, who play for Columbus High School in Miami, declared their commitment to head coach Jon Scheyer and the Blue Devils.
“Go, Blue Devils.Prepare for the upcoming season, Cameron Crazies.“Duke nation, baby!” said the Boozer twins, who were accompanied by their brother Carmani, in the video.
Cayden and Cameron, two top-25 recruits in the Class of 2025, were the first to commit to Duke.According to 247Sports’ Composite rankings, Cameron is the country’s top power forward and the second-best player overall.Among all players, Cayden ranks No. 21, and he is the fourth-ranked point guard in his class.
Before joining the Devils, the Boozer twins narrowed their choice to Duke and Miami after receiving offers from a number of prestigious schools, including North Carolina and Kentucky.
Carlos Boozer helped the Blue Devils win the 2001 national title while playing for Duke from 1999 to 2002 under former head coach Mike Krzyzewski.
Cameron Boozer, a projected top-five pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, will be Duke’s first five-star recruit after Cooper Flagg.Currently scheduled for his first season with the Blue Devils, Flagg is expected to be the first pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.
AJ Dybantsa is the only player in the 2025 class to be ahead of Cameron Boozer.Cameron Boozer, a forward who stands 6 feet 9 and weighs 215 pounds, resembles former Duke star Paolo Banchero more than Flagg.
Nevertheless, after one season in Durham, Cameron will have to assist in filling the vacuum that Flagg will probably leave. In the 2025–2026 season, the big guy seems to have the skills to be Duke’s first choice.Last season, he averaged 21.1 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 4.2 assists.
Duke’s backcourt leaders this season are sophomore guard Caleb Foster and junior guard Tyrese Proctor, but Cayden Boozer might be the next top guard on the team in 2025–2026.
Cayden, a 6-foot-4 guard, is a perfect example of a point guard and facilitator.Cayden, who is arguably the finest passer in the 2025 class, may have a wealth of scoring alternatives available to him on the team the following season.Cayden has averaged 14 points, 5.6 assists, and 4.2 rebounds per game throughout his three years at Columbus.
Boozer is a player who always seems to be looking up, looking for possibilities on the floor. He knows angles and is prepared to be Duke’s offensive leader the following season.
