The Hurricanes’ 2025 recruiting class continued to add depth to the offensive line. During a live stream with Rivals on Wednesday night, Max Buchanan, a standout offensive lineman for the Sanford Seminole 2025, announced his commitment to Miami.

According to the composite rankings of 247Sports, Buchanan is a four-star recruit. In the class, he is ranked as the No. 238 player and the 13th interior offensive lineman. Right now, Buchanan is UM’s 2025 class’ top-rated lineman. Among other schools, Buchanan rejected offers from Clemson, Florida State, and Penn State in favor of Miami.

Although he is categorized as an interior lineman, the 6-foot-4, 275-pound Buchanan played left tackle for Seminole. In Miami’s 2025 class, he is the fourth offensive line commit.

He is an excellent motivator. He is a huge inspiration and motivator for the men on the field and enjoys watching the other guys make plays. There is never any doubt about his effort. He is simply an excellent player.
