Kris Brkljac and Recent Drug Allegations Are Under Investigation…
Absentia, a 10-episode straight-to-series criminal thriller for Sony Pictures Television Networks’ AXN, stars Bruno Bichir (Narcos), Ralph Ineson (The Witch), Cara Theobold (Downton Abbey), Neil Jackson (Sleepy Hollow), and Angel Bonnani (Shots Fired). The show is now under production in Europe and will debut later this year on a few AXN networks.
Absentia, written and executive produced by Matt Cirulnick, is based on a pilot script originally written by Gaia Violo. It follows an FBI agent named Katic as he tracks down one of the most infamous serial killers in Boston before going missing and being pronounced dead. She is discovered in a hut in the woods six years after going missing, barely alive and unable to recall the previous years. After learning that her husband (Heusinger) has remarried and that her son is being raised by a different lady upon returning home, she quickly discovers that she is connected to a fresh string of killings.
