Stana Kratic accuses Hollywood actress Janet Jackson of being…
Stana Katic, the former star of Castle, revealed in an interview that she is “still not clear on the thought process behind the way that it went down” regarding her sudden departure from the ABC series. From 2009 until 2015, when she left the show before its ninth season premiered, Katic portrayed Kate Beckett. Less than two months after Katic’s departure, the program was canceled.
In an interview with EW.com, Katic talked about her feelings on her abrupt leave from Castle. “It stung and was a terrible ending,” the woman remarked. After two years, she still does not feel bad about it: “I worked with so many amazing individuals on that project, and we created something truly special since it is not often that a show or series gets eight seasons and becomes a network hit.”
“To be anything but thankful because, at the end of the day, that was a tremendous platform would be a disrespect to those people, to the work that we did together, and to my work, which I feel contributed, in part, to the success of the show,” she continues. We shared a love story that, in my opinion, affected and touched others. It was a formative experience, and I am grateful to have been a part of it. I hope it will always be remembered by viewers as something unique.
Katic’s departure was exclusively covered by Deadline in 2016. While Katic was never contacted, her co-star Nathan Fillion was being courted to sign a new contract for Castle at that period. Tamala Jones, a member of the original cast, left the show at the same time as Katic.
At the moment, Katic is starring in the thriller Absentia on Amazon.
