Urgent:Saquon Barkely Rushed to the Hospital in a Critical Condition
When Saquon Barkley made his first appearance back on the field he once called home as a Philadelphia Eagle, he did not anticipate jeers from the New York Giants fans crammed into the stands of MetLife Stadium.
They became more quiet when he tore up the Giants defense for 176 yards rushing, the most of his Eagles career thus far, and a touchdown in the 28-3 thumping victory for Philadelphia, but that was all he heard when he touched
As he faced the team he played for for his first six seasons in the NFL before joining what was formerly his NFC East opponent, Barkley stated he was not viewing this as a game of retaliation.
But after his first encounter with the Giants, which went incredibly well, Fox Sports’ Kristina Pink asked Barkley about his experience sprinting around New York on Sunday. Barkley chose the morally right path.
“In the end, we prevailed,” he answered. “That is the most crucial factor. A special thanks to the tight ends and big boys up front. They took action to help me take the lead.
“I am aware that I was being jeered. But that is what you live for as a competitor,” he continued, “moments you dream about, and we won the dub in the end. It was all love in the end because I got to meet my [former] teammates and classmates there.”
