UDINESE 0–1 JUVENTUS: Federico Chiesa gives Bianconeri the victory on the final day, but he will participate in the Europa Conference League.

Juventus will play in the Europa conference League next season after a dramatic final day in Serie A saw them edged out of a Europa League spots by Roma’s late win over Spezia. Federico Chiesa secured the three points for Juve meaning they had done what needed to do on the day before the result in the capital broke their hearts.

On June 4, 2023, in Udinese, Juventus’ Federico Chiesa was seen in action during their Serie A match against Udinese Calcio at Dacia Arena.

Juventus defeated Udinese 1-0, but because to Roma’s thrilling triumph, they will compete in the Europa Conference League next year.

Federico Chiesa’s goal with 20 minutes remaining gave Max Allegri’s team the lead. Chiesa received a pass from Manuel Locatelli, who expertly maneuvered to get the ball onto his right foot before bending a shot past Marco Silvestri.

In an effort to draw even, Udinese surged forward but was unable to get past Juventus’ defense.

Allegri’s team would have ended with 72 points, level with Inter, and would have qualified for the UEFA Champions League without the point deduction. However, Juventus will actually participate in UEFA’s secondary tournament next season, provided UEFA permit them. When Paulo Dybala converted a late penalty against Spezia, it appeared as though Juventus would finish ahead of Roma and finish in sixth place, qualifying for the Europa League. However, Roma fell back to sixth, dropping Juventus to seventh.

For Juventus tonight, the Brazilian defender was composed, confident, and excellent with the ball. He issued several significant challenges to prevent Udinese from entering risky zones. He made five tackles, two interceptions, and three clearances while winning five of his six duels. He was excellent with the ball as well, finishing 11 of his 14 long passes for a passing accuracy that was just around 95% for the entire game. His passing enabled Juventus to quickly ascend the pitch and transfer the ball out to the sides. The 31-year-old gave a polished performance.
