SPORTTransfer: Guardiola to add €100m defender to Man City squad

Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, is considering a summer transfer for Josko Gvardiol of RB Leipzig.

Fabrizio Romano claims that the Croatian will cost the Champions League champions somewhere in the neighborhood of €100 million.

Since the 2022 World Cup, Gvardiol has been receiving notice as one of the greatest players for the Bundesliga team.

He will be brought in by Guardiola as a potential replacement for Aymeric Laporte, who will be leaving the Etihad.

According to Romano, who spoke with CaughtOffside, RB Leipzig had the notion to make Gvardiol the most expensive center-back in the history of the sport for more than €80m.

“I don’t know if €80m or €85m will be enough. According to insider Leipzig sources, the cost to recruit Gvardiol this summer could be close to €100 million.
