Report: Jayson Tatum injury return date has been…

The Celtics will be at full strength on Wednesday night for their showdown against the Bucks at TD Garden after Jayson Tatum was declared available by the team. The All-Star forward was a late addition to the injury report on Wednesday morning, being listed as questionable due to a non-COVID illness. He did not appear on the court during Boston’s shootaround at the Auerbach Center but did arrive at TD Garden on schedule ahead of Wednesday’s matchup.

Boston will also have Derrick White and Al Horford back in the lineup after both players sat out Monday’s loss to the Hornets. The Celtics will face off against the Bucks for the first time since both teams underwent a facelift in the offseason with Damian Lillard being traded to the Bucks in a deal that ultimately allowed Boston to acquire Jrue Holiday.

Despite that intriguing storyline, Holiday downplayed the impact of facing of against his former teammates for the first time.

“It’s not like I circled this one on my calendar or anything,” Holiday said. “I think this is a big game because of the two teams that are playing. Because of the caliber of players that are on the court and all that. That’s what I would like for it to be about when we’re playing against the Bucks.”
