Meet the 20yrs old defender who has already started training with the senior team following the withdrawal of Lewis Dunk

After Lewis Dunk and Jude Bellingham withdrew, Chelsea defender Levi Colwill began training with the senior England team.

The 20-year-old was already there as part of a training camp for the England Under-21 team.

On Friday, England takes on Malta, and on Monday, North Macedonia.

Colwill is expected to be in the U21 squad for the European Championships this summer, thus there are no intentions to call him up for those Euro 2024 qualifiers.

Colwill has made an impression while playing on loan at Brighton this year, and the Seagulls are allegedly interested in signing him on a long-term basis.

However, Chelsea holds the option to extend the center back’s contract and has no interest in letting him leave.

On Wednesday, England U21 manager Lee Carsley releases his final roster for the Euros, and the Young Lions will play Germany, Israel, and the Czech Republic in group play.
