Liverpool could offer £77 million for 26-year-old midfield target

In recent weeks, Nicolo Barella, an international for Italy, has been linked to Liverpool.

Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing the 26-year-old Italian international, and they might be willing to make Inter Milan a sizable bid for the player, according to Marco Barzaghi.

Barella has excelled recently for both club and country, and he assisted Inter Milan in this past season’s run to the UEFA Champions League final. He had a significant role in Italy’s victory in the European championships.

Without a question, the 26-year-old is a world-class central midfielder who would benefit Liverpool, but it is unclear whether the Reds will be able to close a deal.

Liverpool is reportedly prepared to make an offer of £77 million for the Italian midfielder.

The Reds already have Alexis Mac Allister on board from Brighton and Hove Albion, so this summer they should focus on adding two additional central midfielders.

James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Naby Keita left Liverpool for free transfers, therefore the Reds will need to find suitable replacements.

Barella is a superb center midfielder who will aid Liverpool in controlling the game’s pace as well as offer skill and creativity to the middle of the pitch.

It will be fascinating to see if Jurgen Klopp can add the necessary reinforcements before the summer transfer window ends since Liverpool has been linked with a number of midfielders this summer.

It is unclear if Barella will be willing to leave Inter Milan, where he will play in the Champions League, in order to join a team that won’t feature in the competition next year. Liverpool won’t be playing in the Champions League next year since they didn’t make the top four.
