Lionel Messi swap deal planned after Chelsea owner Todd Boehly’s secret transfer meeting

After meeting with PSG about his transfer earlier this year, Chelsea now wants to sign Neymar as Bernardo Silva becomes a target for the Ligue 1 champions.

This summer, Chelsea will try to sign Neymar, while Paris Saint-Germain will try to sign Bernardo Silva once Lionel Messi leaves.

In a lengthy interview on the subject on Wednesday night, the Argentine superstar announced that he was signing with MLS team Inter Miami. It happened after his two-year tenure in the French capital ended.

In light of Messi’s departure, Manchester City star Silva has emerged as a genuine possibility to head the incomings at the Parc des Princes this summer. The Barcelona manager, Xavi Hernandez, confirmed that the club intended to sign the Portugal international last summer, but a deal did not materialize. The player has been on Barcelona’s wish list for the previous year.

Both Messi and Silva won’t be joining Barca this summer, but Silva may take Messi’s place in the capital of France. This is according to Le10 Sport in France, which asserts that the Ligue 1 champions prioritize Manchester City.

The same source also states that Chelsea wants to acquire PSG’s premier offensive player Neymar. As they try to cut their payroll and restructure their team, the Parisians are reportedly open to offers for the Brazilian this summer, according to Mirror Football.

The 31-year-old Neymar’s season has once again been marred by injury. He is one of the club’s highest-paid players and has a strong social position. After leaving Barcelona for £198 million in 2017, he is still the most expensive player in the world.

Under their new internal leadership, PSG is unlikely to engage in similar high-profile transactions, which raises questions about the Brazilian’s future. Earlier this year, Chelsea owner Boehly met with Neymar to discuss his availability, and this summer, it appears that interest in Neymar has been renewed.

According to reports, Boehly traveled to Paris in February to speak with PSG executives before their Champions League match against Bayern Munich. Although Neymar has scored 118 goals in 173 games for the French club, there is still a nagging feeling that he has fallen short of the lofty expectations that many had for him.

Although at least one other Premier League team is rumored to be interested in Neymar, there may not be many places for the former Barcelona star to go this summer. He is at the point in his career where a high-paying transfer may be his last option because of his escalating injury problems.
