Latest update!!! Liverpool are certain about signing ‘one of the best midfielders in the world’, he’s a ‘huge player’ says Iniesta

According to reports, Liverpool and Atletico Madrid are both interested in acquiring PSG midfielder Marco Verratti.

The 30-year-old’s situation with PSG is being closely monitored by the Reds, according to Marca, as speculation of Verratti leaving Paris this summer grows, with Liverpool reportedly leading the chase.

Verratti has been playing at the pinnacle of the European game for what seems like an eternity with PSG, but the Ligue 1 superstar may suddenly be on the road to Liverpool.

There is no disputing how exciting a signing Verratti could be for Liverpool. Goal has hailed him as “one of the best midfielders in the world” and Andres Iniesta, a former FC Barcelona player, once called him a “huge player.”

Even with money entering the club this week, Liverpool would be hesitant to pay so much for a player of the Italian’s age given PSG’s demand of up to €70 million (£60 million) for the 30-year-old.

Verratti would, in fact, take the position of Fabinho and Jordan Henderson immediately. However, considering the way Liverpool operates, it would be unusual for the Reds to sign a star player at the height of his abilities.

Before making a move, Liverpool must be certain about Verratti.

Without a doubt, the best midfielder in the world is Verratti. While the Italian may be fantastic at Liverpool, the Reds must be confident that the PSG star is the one they want this summer.

As everyone is aware, Jurgen Klopp has been working this window to bring his team’s average age down. Verratti would be a signing that would benefit the team in the opposite way.
