It was evident from the start of Wilt Chamberlain’s NBA career that he was a fantastic player when he joined the Philadelphia Warriors in 1959. Over the course of his career, the Kansas product won two championship titles, was named MVP four times, and broke numerous statistical records. Being one of the greatest basketball players of all time, Chamberlain was a dominant player in the league year after year as a highly skilled scorer and rebounder.

It would be an understatement to say that Wilt Chamberlain had a remarkable career as a professional basketball player. After winning Rookie of the Year, the former track and field athlete made a big impression on the NBA, going on to win seven First-Team All-NBA selections and thirteen All-Star selections in 14 seasons. A testament to his extraordinary success and consistency is the fact that all three of the teams he played for retired his number thirteen. Chamberlain was ahead of his time in his ability to combine dominance with sheer athleticism.
