Gabri Veiga speaks up about the future

Gabri Veiga has addressed the rumors surrounding his future and acknowledged that things are “a mess” right now.

According to journalist Rudy Galetti (via Sport Witness), the Reds are prepared to make a bid for the midfielder, who has a $43 million (£34 million/€40 million) release clause at Celta Vigo. The 21-year-old has been linked to a move to Liverpool.

According to the Evening Standard, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Newcastle are also rumored to be interested. However, when asked about his future during a news conference prior to the U21 Euros, Veiga stayed mum.

Veiga added, “It’s been a bit of a mess. “I fired my [agency] and then took a break. I choose the one I believe to be the finest, and I believe that I have evolved greatly.

“I don’t think about my future; instead, I want to focus on the National Team and the here and now. I want to compete in the European Championship, where there is still time to make the final list, and then win it. I’m here, participating in a wonderful challenge with the national team.

Despite having a fruitless loan at Liverpool, Arthur Melo is apparently considering a return to the Premier League.

After joining the Reds on loan from Juventus last summer, the Brazilian played a grand total of 13 minutes for the first squad. Prior to the 2023–24 season, he will now return to his parent club, but he might already be considering his next move.

The Daily Mail reports that two Premier League teams are fighting for the services of Arthur, who wants to leave Juventus. Although the teams involved aren’t identified, it is safe to infer that the 26-year-old won’t be interested in playing for Liverpool again.
