Before the Villarreal forward completes his £32 million transfer, Nicolas Jackson has completed his Chelsea physical.

While Kalidou Koulibaly finished his £17 million transfer to Al Hilal, Edouard Mendy, Hakim Ziyech, and the Blues’ goalkeeper are all set to join Al Ahli.

In his breakout season with Spanish club Villarreal last year, the 22-year-old scored 13 goals.

In his final eight games, he scored nine goals, helping the Yellow Submarine finish sixth in the LaLiga standings.

Jackson has a £30 million release clause, and the LaLiga club has requested that Chelsea cover the entire sum up front.

Chelsea is now prepared to pay more than the release clause, allowing them to stagger payments.

Jackson will give Chelsea some much-needed offensive reinforcement, as the Blues struggled to score last year.

Chelsea finished in 12th place in the Premier League with just 38 goals scored.

After Bournemouth and the attacker agreed on a rumoured £21 million transfer price, Jackson was scheduled to join the Premier League in January.

Due to worries over Jackson’s hamstring issue, the Cherries abandoned a transfer.

Jackson now appears set to become Chelsea’s second acquisition of the open market.

The Blues have previously announced that French forward Christopher Nkunku will be joining them from RB Leipzig for £53 million, after the two sides entered into a pre-contract agreement in December.
