Inter Milan FC is reportedly considering a move for Kelechi Iheanacho during the upcoming summer transfer window, according to reports. The Nigeria Int’l player will be out of contract ending this season, which will make him available for free if no new contracts have been signed.

Nerazzurri has been told towards the possibility of signing a new contract with Iheanacho on a free swoop, and FC Inter News reports that the Italian giants have registered their interest.

The report goes on to say that the club are looking to make a number of evaluations on the player before taking a final decision, as they are planning to make a move for a number of free agents in the next 12 months.

Despite his contract situation, Iheanacho stayed at Leicester past the summer. He has played with Jamie Vardy as a lone striker this season, with four goals so far in the Championship game, three of his goals were from the last three goals scored.

Iheanacho partnered with the Foxes from Man City in the summer of 2017 for a price of £25m, and he expressed speculations linking him to a move away from the club in the summer of last year.

“I know the rumours, the reports, the ‘you want to stay’, I know that I’m here, I’m focusing on my football,” he said. “I have been at Leicester FC for a few years now and we have actually gone down a little, it is not supposed but we are fighting our way to get back up. I didn’t get to move and now I’m here playing for Leicester City, so let’s focus on that.

Iheanacho scored his first goal for the Super Eagles in a 2-2 draw with Saudi Arabia last Friday. According to reports, Iheanacho did not feature in the Eagles’ second friendly match against Mozambique, played on Monday, due to personal commitments.
