BREAKING NEWS: Bukayo Saka makes Arsenal promise as Gary Neville highlights big Mikel Arteta ‘problem’

Arsenal are still unbeaten in the Premier League this season after coming from two goals down to draw 2-2 with London rivals Chelsea on Sunday. Leandro Trossard was the hero for Mikel Arteta’s side after Cole Palmer and Mykhailo Mudryk had given the home side a healthy lead.

The point leaves the north Londoners joint-top of the league with Manchester City following their 2-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon. However, their status as league leaders could end this evening when Tottenham face Fulham.

In the aftermath of the contest at Stamford Bridge, much was made of the goalkeeper situation at Arsenal. David Raya misread Mudryk’s delivery to concede the second goal, resulting in further question marks over Arteta’s decision to have two number ones.

Here’s the latest headlines from on Monday, October 23.

Arteta ‘problem’ his own fault

Sky Sports’ Gary Neville has had his say on the David Raya and Aaron Ramsdale situation at Arsenal following the Spaniard’s difficult evening against Chelsea.

Raya, who has been preferred inbetween the sticks by Arteta, was poorly positioned for Mudryk’s goal before nearly being punished for a poor pass by Palmer at 2-0.

Following the Stamford Bridge thriller, Neville has insisted that the former Brentford man is feeling the pressure. “David Raya started his Arsenal career well but then he had a poor Champions League game [against Lens] followed by that first half against Manchester City,” Neville said during commentary on Sky Sports.

“Now, this game. It’s getting hot for him. He’s got that look on his face like, ‘help’. It’s the toughest position to play and certainly when you’re at one of the biggest clubs in the league, you’re under the most amount of scrutiny – particularly if you’re a goalkeeper.
