Biggest deal for Chelsea on signing 21-year-old top premier league mid-fielder defender behind the scenes, ahead of arsenal

Chelsea and Brighton’s Moises Caicedo are now negotiating a contract, but Arsenal plans to enter the competition by submitting a bid for him.

According to renowned journalist Simon Phillips, this is the case.

There have been several rumors recently regarding Moises Caicedo’s future, since his manager has previously stated that he may leave the Amex Stadium this summer. The 21-year-old midfielder may be traded at the end of the current campaign, according to Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi, speaking to Sky Sports.

This week, Phillips asserted on his Substack that Chelsea is now negotiating a contract to sign Caicedo.

Arsenal now has a Caicedo offer ready, he continues, and they plan to send it soon. They’ll extend this offer regardless of the outcome of their pursuit of Declan Rice, a West Ham midfielder. Financially, the Gunners are as solid as ever.

Since Mateo Kovacic and N’Golo Kante are both heavily rumored to be leaving the club, the new Chelsea manager may have a difficult time reconstructing the midfield.

We would absolutely like to see Caicedo join Chelsea this summer.

However, the most recent information provided by Phillips on Arsenal’s interest is very worrying.

He is one of the Premier League’s top defensive midfielders, as seen by his performance in Brighton’s uniform last season.
