As Liverpool links surface, Moises Caicedo’s agency clarifies his transfer policy.

Midfielder Moises Caicedo of Brighton & Hove Albion has been linked to Liverpool and a number of their Premier League opponents.

By naming the Premier League player that Brighton & Hove midfielder Moises Caicedo – who is reportedly being pursued by Liverpool – most admires, Caicedo’s agent may have given away a hint about where the player will play next.

Caicedo, 21, has received high praise for his efforts on the south coast and was on the verge of leaving the Seagulls in the middle of the season when Arsenal made a move for him. The superstar from Ecuador chose to remain where she was at that very moment. However, it is said that Chelsea, Liverpool, and Arsenal are still keeping an eye on his position.

Having signed a new deal in March, whomever ends up landing Caicedo will have to fork out a sizable sum of money to do so. Following their decision to abandon their intentions to attempt to entice Jude Bellingham to Anfield this summer, Liverpool has been prominently linked with a move.

Bellingham’s potential replacements have included Nicolo Barella, Ryan Gravenberch, Mason Mount, and Caicedo’s Brighton teammate, Alexis Mac Allister. But which Premier League team could have the upper hand in the Caicedo pursuit?

The player’s agent, Manuel Sierra, was reported by Arsenal Informer as saying: “Right now, he’s entirely focused on the remainder of the season. All assessments will wait till the summer.

This is hardly surprising, Sierra said, as there aren’t many other young and quality midfielders in Europe. He has a lot of room for growth in every facet of the game, in my opinion.

He can join any squad since he is prepared for everything. His ultimate goal in football is to play in the Champions League and advance as far as he can. His hero? It’s N’Golo Kante.

Liverpool cannot ensure Champions League qualifying for the upcoming season, but their recent run of six victories has given them reason for optimism. When it comes to the top-four pursuit, the Reds still have work to do.

Caicedo, who joined Brighton in the middle of the 2020–2021 season, has appeared in 32 Premier League games this year. With 48 appearances across all competitions for the Seagulls, Caicedo has a current market worth of €55 million, according to the Transermarkt website.
