After Khéphren Thuram, Liverpool should know what to do to address two problems with Jürgen Klopp in one move.

Liverpool should know their next transfer after Khéphren Thuram who plays in the same team and who could solve two Jürgen Klopp problem areas in the squad.

Khéphren Thuram appears to be Liverpool’s next target in the transfer market after Alexis Mac Allister completed his deal, but the French midfielder shouldn’t be Nice’s only player on its radar this summer.

Klopp press conference

Even with the likely acquisition of Thuram, Liverpool’s midfield remains a weak spot in the team. You would like to assume that there would be one more reinforcement who could serve as cover and challenge Fabinho for the role of holding midfielder. The most recent teammate of Thuram can be another fantastic choice for Jürgen Klopp.

In addition to needing more midfielders, Liverpool also needs to bolster its defense. Klopp is in search of a back-up option for the vacant left-sided center-back position.

Thuram is unable to resolve these issues on his own, but his Nice comrade Youssouf Ndayishimiye might do it in a single step.

In the past two years, the 24-year-old has had a spectacular climb. Ndayishimiye began his career in Turkish football’s second division in 2021, but after catching the attention of the league’s top clubs, he moved up to Istanbul Başakşehir in the top division, where he spent just a year and a half before earning a lucrative transfer to Nice in January of this year.

Youssouf Ndayishimiye is a player to keep on Liverpool transfer radar.

Ndayishimiye has not looked back since establishing himself as a regular with the French side right away and playing in numerous roles at the club. He is an energetic and physically strong player who is also very tactically astute and can read the game intelligently.

Ndayishimiye is a center back who can also go into midfield and is highly at ease playing the holding midfield role.

He would be a perfect fit for Liverpool in this regard. He is not only a guy who can play in the left-sided center-back position where he has previously been deployed, but he can also offer much-needed protection behind Fabinho.

Due to his versatility, he would be the ideal squad player and the kind of person Klopp loves to work with. He has the perfect age profile, too, being 24 years old, as he would still be able to help Liverpool’s sagging team feel a little more youthful.

It won’t be simple to lure him away from Nice, who only signed him in January. But if Liverpool is successful in completing the acquisition of Thuram, the club will have built strong ties with the French team and may later seek Ndayishimiye from Nice in an effort to bring him to Anfield.
