A Legendary Debate Continues: Larry Bird Or LeBron James, Who Is Better?

A Legendary Debate Continues: Larry Bird Or LeBron James, Who Is Better?

It was revealed last week that LeBron James, one of the most well-known basketball players in the world, had inked a lifetime sponsorship deal with Nike worth an estimated $30 million annually.

On the 59th birthday of Larry Bird—whose most notable sponsorship agreement was a modest one with Converse in 1986—the news was announced. When discussing who the greatest small forward of all time is, Bird is frequently brought up in comparison to James, even though he lacks James’s worldwide brand appeal.

LeBron acknowledged that Bird, along with Michael Jordan and Julius “Dr. J” Erving, was among the greatest three NBA players of all time, but because of the mainstream media’s infatuation with “King James,” LeBron’s name is still brought up in the discussion against Bird.

It’s time to definitively end this debate because some NBA fans of the younger generation may not even know who Bird is.

LeBron James was not as good as Larry Bird.
